AI chat organizers, compared honestly

Updated September 2026. We build Sortbase; every other tool is described from its own listing and pricing page, with the date we checked.

The short version

Five tools organize or move AI chats in 2026. AI Toolbox and Sortbase cover ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok; Superpower ChatGPT, ChatGPT Folders and GPT Master are ChatGPT only; ThreadPort moves a transcript between models but has no folders or search. Sortbase is the one that files the thread, finds it again by keyword, and moves it between all four models in one plan.

FAQ

Which of these works across ChatGPT and Claude?
AI Toolbox and Sortbase both do (plus Gemini and Grok). AI Toolbox keeps each platform in its own module with its own folders; Sortbase keeps one folder tree that holds chats from all four together. ThreadPort moves a transcript between ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini but does not organize anything.
Which one can move a conversation from one model to another?
Sortbase and ThreadPort. Sortbase sends a filed chat to another model as an attachment in one click and keeps the original in its folder; ThreadPort moves a transcript from the open tab, free up to ten times a month, and stores nothing. The organizer-only tools do not move conversations.
What does Sortbase cost compared with AI Toolbox?
Sortbase is $10 a month or $100 a year for all four platforms after a 7-day trial with a card on file. AI Toolbox is free with caps, $9.99 a month per module ($39.96 for four), or $199 once for all modules. If you use one model, AI Toolbox's per-module price is lower; if you use three or four, Sortbase's single plan is.
Why does Sortbase need an account?
Folders, saved chats and prompts sync across your devices and across the four sites, so they need somewhere to live. Sortbase stores only the chats you file and the prompts you add, not the rest of what you type. Everything you filed stays browsable if you stop paying.

File it, find it, move it. Four models, one plan.

Free to install. 7-day free trial of every feature, card required, nothing charged during the trial. Then $10/month or $100/year. Cancel any time in the trial.
